Happ for Android TV
Happ for Android TV is the same app as on smartphones, with support for remote-control navigation. It connects a TV or set-top box to your servers through Xray-core.
There are two ways to install it: Google Play on the TV itself, or a manual install of Happ.apk. Which one you use depends on whether the device has Google services.
Right after installation Happ is empty. The easiest way to bring a subscription over is from your phone with a QR code, or through the tv.happ.su website.

Which build to choose
If your TV or box has Google Play, install from there. Updates arrive automatically, and you do not need to allow installing unknown apps.
If there is no Google Play, for example on some Chinese set-top boxes, take the stable Happ.apk. It is the same file as for phones.
The Happ_beta.apk beta makes sense if you need a specific TV fix, such as improved remote-control navigation. For everyday viewing, stay on the stable version.
How to make sure the file is official
Check the package in Google Play
If you install from the store, open the app page on your phone and check the id=com.happproxy parameter in the address. The app name is Happ - Proxy Utility.
Result: The package is com.happproxy and the name matches.
Download the APK from the official link
Download the file from github.com/Happ-proxy/happ-android/releases/latest/download/Happ.apk. Do not take a TV APK from Telegram channels, forums or app collections for set-top boxes.
Result: The file is called Happ.apk or Happ_beta.apk.
Check the app after installation
Open Settings → Apps on the TV, find Happ and compare the version with the release number on GitHub. On many firmware versions the package name is visible there too.

How to update Happ
The Google Play version on a TV updates automatically if automatic app updates are turned on in the store settings.
You update the APK version the same way you installed it: download a fresh Happ.apk, move it to the TV and install it over the old one. If the signature matches, Android keeps the app data.
Before updating, keep your subscription handy in Happ on your phone. If something goes wrong, you can send it to the TV again in a minute.
