Privacy Policy

The site does not ask you to register, does not publish forms with fields such as name, phone number or e-mail, and does not keep user accounts. You can write to us directly only at editorial@happvpn.io. In that case, the editorial team sees the address and the text of the e-mail in order to answer the question.

During ordinary page views, the server receives and writes to its technical logs a standard set of information: the IP address of the request, the browser and device type, the requested page and the time of the request. This is ordinary web hosting practice, not a separate collection of data about a specific person.

Once analytics is enabled, the site uses Yandex Metrica and Google Analytics 4. Both services set cookies in the visitor's browser that link several visits within one session or device and help count page views, transitions between materials and overall interest in the site's topics.

Yandex Metrica has Webvisor and the click map enabled: they record actions on the page, such as scrolling, clicks and cursor movement, so that the editorial team can see where materials are hard to read. The site has no forms with personal data. In addition, the counters receive technical page load speed metrics (Core Web Vitals).

These systems do not receive from us a name, an e-mail or other data that the visitor did not enter on the site themselves. The site does not connect advertising networks or tracking cookies that operate outside Yandex Metrica and Google Analytics 4.

Server technical logs and analytics data are used for two tasks: keeping the hosting running (finding the causes of failures and handling load) and understanding which materials are read most often, so that the knowledge base can be updated and expanded. Neither logs nor analytics data are used to show personalized ads or passed to third parties for sale.

The web server's technical logs are kept for a limited time, typical for hosting logs, and are then automatically deleted or overwritten. Data in Yandex Metrica and Google Analytics 4 is kept under the rules of those services themselves; you can find them in the Yandex and Google documentation. The site does not set its own, longer retention periods.

If the information the site processes counts as personal data under Federal Law No. 152-FZ "On Personal Data", the user has general rights: to learn what data about them exists, to ask for it to be corrected or deleted, where that is technically possible for the specific technical logs, and to withdraw consent to the use of cookies. The analytics cookies of Yandex Metrica and Google Analytics 4 can be blocked in the browser settings: most browsers let you turn off cookies for a single site or all third-party cookies at once. Special extensions for blocking analytics counters also work. Opting out of cookies does not restrict access to the articles, and all of the text content remains available without them.

Links on the plans page and on the Atlas VPN provider page lead to the atlasvpn.app website, a separate service with its own terms for data processing, payment and support. This policy does not describe what happens to your data after you follow an external link: the third-party site has its own privacy policy, which you should read before registering there.
